FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, particularly to ophthalmology, and can be used for increasing visual functions in patients with surgical treatment of rhegmatogenous detachment of retina. Invention refers to a method for improving visual functions in endovitreal surgery of rhegmatogenous detachment of retina involving the use of medications, in which if after 1st stage of endovitreal surgery of retinal detachment of the retina is predicted to increase visual acuity from 0.4 and higher, then from 1st day after 1st and 2nd stages of surgery, 0.5 ml of 1 % emoxypine solution is introduced retrobulbar daily for 5 days, and after 1 hour 10 ml of cytoflavin solution in 200 ml of 5 % glucose solution is introduced intravenously, and in following 10 days, a maintenance therapy with cytoflavin 1 tablet (0.425 g) 2 times a day orally, if the visual acuity is predicted to be 0.3 or lower, the same therapeutic course of emoxypine and cytoflavin is carried out for 7–10 days, and the maintenance therapy with cytoflavin is prolonged to 20–25 days, wherein the predicted maximally corrected visual acuity is calculated by formula: Y=K+b1*X1+b2*X2+b3*X3+b4*X4, where K is constant =2.4597; b1–b4 – regression coefficients: b1=-0.0147; b2=-0.0655; b3=0.7839; b4=-0.006; X1–X4 – values of analyzed parameters of patient: X1 – prescription of retina detachment in weeks; X2 is length of anterior-posterior eye axis in mm; X3 – maximally corrected visual acuity before operation; X4 duration of manipulations in the vitreal cavity in minutes.
EFFECT: improving visual functions in endovitreal surgery of retinal detachment of the retina with anatomical retina attachment by improving chorioretinal microcirculation, restoring energy synthesis and reserves of the eye's own antioxidant system, reducing oxidative and metabolic stress, increasing access of exogenous antioxidants to the lesion, direct anti-inflammatory action.
