FIELD: testing equipment; measuring equipment.
SUBSTANCE: ballistic pendulum with braking device comprises solid body suspended by means of rigid tie-rods to fixed support arranged behind protective shield and braking device. Braking device is made in the form of tube-waveguide of adjustable length, having a fragment of curved profile. Inlet end of the tube-waveguide is connected to the hole in the protective shield. Outlet end of tube-waveguide is made in the form of Laval nozzle directed towards dorsal pendulum tip.
EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of efficiency of braking of the pendulum.
