FIELD: testing equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a technique for testing ammunition and explosives, to devices for determining high explosiveness, brisance, speed of striking elements, impulse of explosion. Ballistic pendulum contains a massive body, suspended by means of rigid barriers to a fixed support, with a trap of damaging elements placed on its nose, filled with a trapping medium, devices for measuring the angle of deflection and horizontal movement, the locking mechanism in the extreme position and the mechanism for returning to the working position. Trap is made removable and in the front part contains a pressure sensor and a collision sensor mounted in front of the trapping medium with a gap equal to the maximum linear size of the striking element of the tested ammunition. Additionally, the pendulum contains an accelerometer, a device for limiting the magnitude of horizontal movement, as well as a set of recording high-speed photographic equipment.

EFFECT: invention allows for the possibility of testing and determining the characteristics of explosive charges and various munitions of large mass with an acceleration of the process of processing results and increasing the accuracy of measurements.
