FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, particularly to traumatology and orthopaedics. Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is performed. Perform arthroscopy. Defect in the knee joint is detected and treated with 4 mm diameter cylindrical cutter. Following stage is followed by a longitudinal incision of 4 cm in the area of the tibio-fibular junction. Autografts are sampled in the form of two blocks so that the surfaces of said blocks, which, when replacing defects, will be upper, had area of 2.57 ± 0.2 cm2 for the fibular block and 3.26 ± 0.2 cm2 for a tibial block. Obtained autografts are placed in the defect zone next to each other.
EFFECT: method enables the effective treatment of joints, reliable integration of the transplanted block, coating of large defects by using autografts from the articular surface of the tibia and fibular bone.
