FIELD: biotechnology.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of biotechnology. Invention provides a diagnostic technique for polymorphism of AGRN, ISG15 and HES4 genes, which provides a lethal genetic defect of multiple arthrogryposis of meat breeds, including DNA analysis by allele-specific PCR using three primers: one forward (AMV1 - 5`-CGA AAG CCT TCT TTC CAC TG) and two inverse (AMV2 - 5`-TTC TGC AGG CAA GAA CAC TG and AMV3 - 5`-GAA TGC CAC TTC CTC CTC TG) with subsequent agarose gel electrophoresis where oligonucleotide primers with length of 20 nucleotide pairs with a melting point of 58–60 °C are used to amplify the desired DNA fragments and content of guanine-cytosine 45–50 %, and amplified DNA fragments with length of 357 base pairs for a healthy allele and 242 base pairs - for mutant.

EFFECT: invention allows detecting polymorphism in cattle AGRN, ISG15 and HES4 genes associated with haplotype of carrier of genetic defect of multiple arthrogryposis (AM).
