SUBSTANCE: invention relates to molecular genetics and is intended for determination of polymorphism C→T in position 1958 (R1958W) of the DMD gene causing the presence of pig syndrome. A gene fragment containing a mutation is amplified using two primers followed by hydrolysis of PCR products with Aci I endonuclease. Identification of animal genotypes is carried out by electrophoresis of PCR-RFLP products in agarose gel. A 202-bp fragment specific for normal allele (nucleotide C). A fragment with length of 234 base pairs corresponds to a mutant allele (nucleotide T).
EFFECT: invention provides a cheap method of identifying polymorphism in the DMD gene, which causes the presence of stress syndrome in pigs.
