SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of biotechnology. Method of genotyping cattle by alleles 878 C>T of scd1 gene (rs41255693) by real-time PCR method consists in using: forward primer SCD1-D 5'-CCCTTATGACAAGACCATCAACC-3', reverse primer SCD1-R 5'-GACGTGGTCTTGCTGTGGACT-3', SCD1-T-allele-specific fluorescent-labelled probe 5'-FAM-CTTACCCACAGCTCCCA-BHQ1-3', SCD1-C-allele-specific fluorescent-labelled probe 5'VIC- TACCCGCAGCTCCC-3- BHQ1, wherein for homozygous samples on allele T (genotype 878T/T), growth of fluorescence on FAM channel is detected, for homozygous samples on allele C (genotype 878C/C) signal is detected via VIC channel, for a heterozygous sample (genotype 878T/C), fluorescence increases on both detection channels, and the presence of two dyes, FAM and VIC, enables unambiguous determination of the presence of each of the analysed alleles of the scd1 gene in the analysed DNA sample and, accordingly, the animal's genotype.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to simplify a method of cattle genotyping by alleles 878 C>T of scd1 (rs41255693) gene, to reduce time of analysis.
