FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to experimental biology. Contact model of frost-bitten skin is created with application of liquid nitrogen. Cooling with liquid nitrogen is subjected to a depilated skin of an experimental animal for 1 minute, with cycle of 2–5 times, with further placement of the animal in hypoxic conditions with reduced oxygen content of up to 15 %. Method provides simulating frostbite of the animal's skin in hypoxic conditions by cooling the skin area with liquid nitrogen and creating hypoxic conditions, which reflects the pathophysiological mechanisms underlying the freezing and freezing of tissues, accompanied by ischemia-reperfusion injury in hypoxic conditions. When using this model of frost-bitten skin pathological processes take place in the same way as in conditions of Far North.
EFFECT: invention can be used to simulate frostbite of skin of experimental animals under hypoxic conditions.
