FIELD: electrical communication engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to wireless communication. When roaming in a wireless network, the test device (DUT) is connected to an access point (AP). Tested device switches the access points with which it is connected, which initiates the roaming event. In order to collect large amounts of data relating to roaming events, a number of roaming events are initiated. Roaming events are initiated by deactivating all access points from a plurality of access points, except one active, or by reducing or increasing transmission power of a point or access points.

EFFECT: technical result is higher reliability of roaming.
