FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely ophthalmosurgery. To treat retinal detachment complicated by proliferative vitreoretinopathy, vitrectomy is performed, separation and removal of posterior hyaloid membrane (PHM) is performed not reaching distance of diameter of optic disc (OD) before attachment to retina. Then two rows of diathermocoagulates are applied along circumference in zone free from PHM, as close as possible to periphery. That is followed by a circular retinotomy above a diathermocoagulate peripheral row, performing a PFCL vitreous cavity tamponade, a retinal endolaser coagulation in a projection of retinotomy and diathermocoagulates, and replacing the PFCL with silicone oil.
EFFECT: method enables creating optimal conditions for retinal adaptation, namely: providing retina adhesion, reducing risk of hemorrhagic intraoperative hemorrhages, preventing secondary proliferation and creating a good adaptation of the retinotomy zone.
