FIELD: construction.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to hydraulic engineering and can be used as bank protection structures in river or channel channels. Gabion structure for reinforcement of a coastal slope contains interconnected mesh metal cylinders with a filler laid on a slope in a direction transverse to the flow, forming a secluded bank-reinforcement structure. Novelty is that mesh metal cylinders are filled with stones, wherein structure is made of cylindrical gabions (4), combined into modules, fixed on slope using distribution pipes (3) and piles (1), arranged on shore near slope. Cylindrical gabions (4) in module are connected by means of metal cables (2) to distributing pipe (3), which, in its turn, is connected by means of cables to pile (1) and is approached to slope at distance corresponding to half of gabion length. Distributing pipe (3) and pile (1) located near its central part are buried in soil.
EFFECT: technical result achieved during implementation of invention consists in improvement of reliability, bearing capacity and simplification of installation of modular structure of gabions for strengthening bank slope.
