METHOD FOR RAPID ASSESSMENT OF FUNCTIONAL SOLVENCY OF SUBCLAVIAN-PULMONARY ANASTOMOSIS IN CHILDREN UNDER 1 YEAR OLD Russian patent published in 2019 - IPC A61B5/145

Abstract RU 2704356 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to monitoring in cardiosurgery, can be used for objective assessment of superimposed subclavian pulmonary shunt intraoperatively and postoperatively (at any time after surgical management) in newborns and children up to a year with congenital heart disease characterized by depletion of pulmonary blood flow. Near infrared spectroscopy of pulmonary tissue is performed, for this purpose oximeter sensors are fixed on symmetrical sections of thorax on both sides in the area of projection of pulmonary fields. If there is no asymmetry in the oxygen saturation levels, an anastomosis dysfunction is diagnosed. If observing asymmetry in oxygen saturation levels, absence of anastomosis dysfunction is stated.

EFFECT: invention provides noninvasive objective rapid assessment of consistency of subclavian-pulmonary anastomosis ensured by application of near-infrared spectroscopy of pulmonary tissue.
