FIELD: power engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to solar engineering and design of a solar energy converter to a thermal one using a mechanical drive of an electric generator and can be used in addition to electric generation in a wide range of industries and various types of operations, where a mechanical drive of both rotary and reciprocal motion is required. Solar power plant is equipped with receiver with liquid working medium, pump with electric motor, check valve, cylindrical heating radiator, rotary steam motor, radiator-cooler, which are interconnected by pipeline and represent closed circuit for circulation of working medium, wherein receiver with liquid working medium is connected to pump with electric motor, and pump through check valve is connected to cylindrical heating radiator, which is mechanically connected to parabolic-cylindrical solar concentrator, cylindrical heating radiator through a pressure valve for passing a heated liquid working medium is connected to a rotary steam motor, which is mechanically connected to an electric generator, which generates electric power, working volume of rotary steam engine is connected to radiator-cooler, which is connected to receiver by means of pressure valve for passage of cooled liquid working medium.

EFFECT: invention uses heat energy of the Sun and converts this energy into mechanical energy of electric generator drive at low temperatures of working medium heating.
