Knife for product cutting contains a blade with a handle and a guide located parallel to the blade at the thickness of the cut slice. Guide is located below cutting edge of blade and is made in front part with bend located above cutting edge of blade. Method of cutting a product with a knife involves applying a knife guide to the product edge prior to cutting and cutting the product with back-and-forth motions of the blade of the above knife.

EFFECT: high accuracy of cutting one thickness of slices and productivity.
