METHOD FOR PREDICTION OF THE RISK OF DEVELOPING CHOROIDAL NEOVASCULARISATION (CNV) IN PATIENTS WITH MODERATE- AND HIGH-GRADE PATHOLOGICAL MYOPIA Russian patent published in 2019 - IPC A61B3/12

Abstract RU 2704467 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, specifically to ophthalmology. Method for prediction of risk of developing choroidal neovascularization (CNV) in patients with pathological myopia of medium and high degree includes ophthalmoscopic examination to determine the presence of focal chorioretinal atrophy at the fundus and peripheral chorioretinal dystrophy (PVCHRD), as well as biometrics for measurement of axial length – anterior-posterior axis (APA) of the examined eye and spectral optical coherence tomography for measuring subfoveal thickness of the choroidal eye. Calculating the probability of predicting the risk of developing CNV in pathological myopia of medium and high degree P is calculated depending on detected predictors of its development of the disease. Nominal data with presence of focal choroidal atrophy and PVCHRD in past history are marked as 1, in absence – as 0. If there is no focal chorioretinal atrophy on the fundus and PVCHRD, calculating the probability of predicting the risk of developing CNV in pathological myopia of moderate and high degree of probability. Obtained value ranges from 0 to 1. Sensitivity of this logistic regression analysis is 89.50 %, specificity is 76.20 %, error-freeness is equal to 83.80 %.

EFFECT: establishment of optimal terms of dynamic observation of patients with pathological myoscopy.
