FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, to ophthalmology. In the area around the pathological focus, a distance of 450–500 microns from it, the applicates are applied to the intact zone of the retina in a dense layer by the “painting” method with a distance between them equal to one diameter of the applicate, in the horizontal or vertical direction with the following parameters of laser exposure: wavelength 577 nm, power 100–270 mW, exposure time 20 ns, period between pulse packets 0.1–0.15 s, duty cycle 5 %. Spot diameter is 100 microns, the number of appliques is 600–1,200 pcs.
EFFECT: method reduces trauma and labor, reduces damage to the retina, stabilizes the neovascularization process, improves visual function.
