COPOLYMER CONTAINING OXAZOLINE MONOMERS, AND USE THEREOF AS CROSS-LINKING AGENT Russian patent published in 2019 - IPC C08F220/34 C08F220/38 C08F226/06 C08L33/14 C08L39/04 C08J5/04 C08J5/18

Abstract RU 2704487 C2

FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to novel copolymers. Copolymer A, suitable as a cross-linking agent, contains: a) at least one monomer (a) selected from a group consisting of alkyl(meth)acrylates with 1–12 carbon atoms in alkyl; b) at least one ethylenically unsaturated monomer (b), which contains at least one sulphonic acid group (-SO3M); c) at least one ethylenically unsaturated monomer (c), which contains at least one oxazoline group; d) optionally at least one additional monomer (a) and/or additive; wherein proportion of monomers (b) and (c) in total is 25 to 49 wt. %, based on total amount of monomers in copolymer A, wherein in case of copolymer A it is a water-soluble polymer, water solubility thereof includes solubility in water of at least 100 g/l; wherein monomer (b) is a compound of formula (II): H2C=C(R1)C(=O)-NH-Z-SO3M (II), where the residues and indices have the following values: R1 is H or methyl; Z is a divalent bonding group selected from alkylene with 1–10 carbon atoms; M is one or more metals; monomer (c) is a compound of formula (IV):

where the residues have the following values: R is an alkenyl residue with 2–20 carbon atoms containing at least one ethylenically unsaturated group; R3, R4, R5, R6 independently of each other, are selected from H and alkyl with 1–6 carbon atoms. Disclosed also is a method of producing copolymer A, a method of polymer cross-linking, a cross-linking composition and use thereof.

EFFECT: technical result is obtained polymer as a cross-linking agent provides improved cross-linking and binding properties.
