FIELD: fire safety.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to fire equipment, specifically to design of fire extinguishers. Powder fire extinguisher containing housing, shut-off device, with siphon tube, nozzle or sleeve, fire-extinguishing substance and displacing gas. According to the invention, the cavity with displacing gas is separated by a rigid and sealed partition from the cavity with fire-extinguishing substance, and in the partition there is a valve contacting through the pusher with the shut-off and starting device. Partition is made in the form of truncated cone mainly from steel, thickness of which is equal to or greater than thickness of bottom part of housing. Partition is multilayered; at that, one of the layers is made in the form of an aerator rigidly connected mainly with a partition or body. Aerator is made in the form of a disk with a nozzle shifted relative to the axis of the fire extinguisher housing at least beyond the limits of the siphon tube diameter. Partition to the body is soldered with copper. Such design makes it possible to store the equipped fire extinguisher in places of combat operations, large accumulation of people and small enclosed volumes, for example, in cabin of vehicles where people are. In case of fire, heating the housing of a fire extinguisher results in rupture of the cavity with displacing gas 14, since it is under excessive pressure, and temperature increases this pressure even more. Note here that displacing gas exits the cavity with displacing gas 14 while released gaseous reaction products of fire-extinguishing powder exit the cavity with fire-extinguishing substance 13 via valve 16, and explosion of fire extinguisher with release of fire-extinguishing substance does not occur that provides safety for firefighters.

EFFECT: invention can be widely used in development and production of fire extinguishing means, in particular, powdered fire extinguishers.
