SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of increasing output of hydrocarbons C5+ in a reforming reactor, which includes passing the catalyst through the reactor non-reaction zone to the first reaction zone of the reactor, wherein the non-reaction zone comprises a first portion and a second portion, wherein first part and second part are separated by deflector; feeding hydrocarbon feed stream into first portion of reactor non-reaction zone; purging gas supply to the second part of the reactor non-reaction zone to create a positive differential pressure between the first portion and the second portion of the non-reaction zone; passing the feed stream from the first portion of the non-reaction zone to the first reaction zone.

EFFECT: disclosed is a method of increasing output of hydrocarbons from a unit for catalytic reforming.
