FIELD: radial flow reactor.
SUBSTANCE: radial flow reactor (8) is used for reforming hydrocarbons, containing a non-reaction zone (31, 41, 51, 71, 102) divided into the first part (110) and the second part (112) by a flow distributor (114), wherein the flow distributor (114) contains the first horizontal section (116), the second horizontal section (118) and the first vertical section (120), connecting the first and second horizontal sections (116, 118), and the second horizontal section (118) has, if viewed from above, a sector shape; a reaction zone (30, 40, 50, 70, 104) located below the non-reactive zone (31, 41, 51, 71, 102) and separated from the non-reactive zone (31, 41, 51, 71, 102) by a plate (122); an inlet (124) for the hydrocarbon feed stream in the non-reactive zone (31, 41, 51, 71, 102); and an outlet (126) for effluent in the non-reaction zone (31, 41, 51, 71, 102), an outlet (126) for fluid communication with the reaction zone (30, 40, 50, 70, 104). The invention is also related to a process for reforming hydrocarbons in the reactor (8).
EFFECT: efficient and rational distribution of the process gas through the non-reactive zone into the reaction zone, while maintaining the corresponding pressure drop of the fluids flowing in it.
