SUBSTANCE: radial flow reactor (8) consists of: a non-reactive zone (31, 41, 51, 71, 102); a reaction zone (30, 40, 50, 70) located below the non-reaction zone (31, 41, 51, 71, 102) and separated from the non-reaction zone (31, 41, 51, 71, 102) by a plate (128); inlet channel (110) for the flow of hydrocarbon feedstock in the non-reaction zone (31, 41, 51, 71, 102); and an outlet channel (112) for effluent in the non-reaction zone (31, 41, 51, 71, 102), the outlet channel (112) is in fluid communication with the reaction zone (30, 40, 50, 70). In this case, the inlet channel (110) is located between the outlet channel (112) and the reaction zone (30, 40, 50, 70). The invention also relates to a method.
EFFECT: efficient and effective distribution of process gas in the non-reaction zone while maintaining an appropriate pressure drop of the fluids flowing therein.
