FIELD: weapons and ammunition.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to artillery small-caliber ammunition, and more specifically to technology of formation of plastic driving belts by injection molding into mold. Method of fixing plastic driving band from polyarylate composition containing 1–2 wt% of fluoroplastic is performed by pressure casting on cylindrical article placed in heated mold at controlled injection parameters. Measured dose injection of polyarylate composition with temperature of 315–340 °C, having melt flow index of 0.2–0.9 g/10 min, is carried out at pressure of 170–290 MPa for 2–4 s in heated to 130–155 °C mold.
EFFECT: method with optimized technological modes of industrial technology ensured durability of joint of material flow with target indices at level of formed polymer ring, which is necessary for reliable fixation of plastic driving belts at operation in barrel channel.
