Technical result is achieved by determining the broadband alignment parameter and the plurality of narrowband alignment parameters from the multichannel signal; aligning at least two channels using a broadband alignment parameter and a plurality of narrowband alignment parameters to obtain aligned channels; calculating an average signal and a side signal using aligned channels; encoding an average signal to obtain an encoded average signal and encoding a side signal to obtain an encoded side signal; and generating an encoded multi-channel signal comprising an encoded average signal, a coded side signal, information on a broadband alignment parameter and information on a plurality of narrowband alignment parameters.
