FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to functional diagnostics in oncology. What is presented is a method for ultrasonic examination of a tongue tumor using transcutaneous or submandibular approach, consisting in that before starting the study, the patient is suggested to take a sip of water and hold it until the end of the study, wherein the patient's tongue, depending on its mobility, is located as close to the sensor as possible.
EFFECT: improved tumor imaging by creation of additional acoustic window for sound production, higher intensity.
