FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, particularly to pharmacology and cardiology. Disclosed is a method of assessing heart rate variability, including spectral analysis, and is used in patients with various forms of atrial fibrillations, allowing to determine the role of the vegetative nervous system and humoral regulation in the chronotropic function of the heart, allowing to study pathogenesis of various forms of atrial fibrillations, cause-effect relation of atrial fibrillations with diagnostic factors and accompanying diseases.
EFFECT: invention provides assessing the state of the vegetative nervous system in a patient with atrial fibrillation, identifying its role in the pathogenesis of the disease and taking into account the obtained data an adequate effect on the development of the disease in order to normalize the heart rate.
