FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a solid asymmetric hydrophobic hollow-fiber membrane. Disclosed is a solid asymmetric hydrophobic hollow-fiber membrane for retaining agents for inhalation anesthesia, wherein said membrane consists mainly of poly(4-methyl-1-pentene) and comprises an inner surface facing its cavity and an outer surface facing outward, support layer with a porous microporous structure with open pores between the inner surface and the outer surface and a separating layer with a denser structure adjacent to that support layer on the outer surface, wherein the support layer is free from macroscopic cavities and pores in the support layer are substantially isotropic on average, wherein the separating layer has a thickness in range of 1.0–3.5 mcm and the membrane is characterized by CO2 permeability, which is 20–60 mol/(h·m2·bar), coefficient α(CO2/N2) of gases separation by at least 5 and CO2 inhalation narcosis agent selectivity for at least 150, membrane is characterized by porosity in range from more than 35 vol% to less than 50 vol%.
EFFECT: high gas permeability of the membrane.
