MEMBRANE METHOD OF RECUPERATING XENON FROM WASTE GAS MIXTURES FOR MEDICAL PURPOSES AND DEVICE FOR ITS IMPLEMENTATION Russian patent published in 2025 - IPC A61M16/00 B01D53/04

Abstract RU 2835863 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: disclosed is a membrane method for recovering xenon from waste gas mixtures for medical purposes, in which separation is carried out on three membrane modules, first and second modules comprise an oxygen-selective asymmetric hollow-fibre membrane based on poly-2,6-dimethyl-1,4-phenylene oxide, and the third module comprises a xenon-selective gas separation composite flat membrane based on an organosilicon block copolymer; wherein the retentate stream of the first module enriched with xenon is directed to the second module for afterpurification, the retentate stream of the second module is output in the form of purified xenon; xenon-containing stream in form of permeate from first module is directed to selective extraction of xenon to third module to obtain permeate enriched with xenon, retentate stream from the third module, containing oxygen, nitrogen, carbon dioxide, water vapour and traces of xenon, is removed from the system, wherein xenon-depleted permeate flows of second and third modules are combined, evacuated and recycled. Also disclosed is a device for implementing a membrane method of recuperating xenon.

EFFECT: group of inventions provides xenon recovery from mixtures of nitrogen, oxygen, water vapour and xenon; reduction of xenon losses to 1-10%; possibility of device operation at ambient temperature from 0 °C to 50 °C; possibility of obtaining concentrated xenon of high purity (up to 99%).
