MEMBRANES FOR REVERSE OSMOSIS OF HYDROCARBONS AND A METHOD FOR PRODUCTION THEREOF Russian patent published in 2020 - IPC B01D53/22 B01D69/12 B01D71/02 C07C7/144

Abstract RU 2721915 C2

FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to membranes for various separation processes, such as reverse osmosis separation, and corresponding methods of producing and using such membranes. Membrane structure for reverse osmosis of hydrocarbons, comprising a first membrane layer and a second membrane layer, the first membrane layer has a pore volume of at least 0.2 cm3/g of pores having an average pore size of at least 20 nm, the second membrane layer comprises a porous carbon layer, having BET specific surface area of at least about 100 m2/g, second membrane layer has pore size distribution, wherein the pore size distribution of the second membrane layer comprises a peak of the smallest pore size, comprising at least 5 vol % of the pore volume, having an average pore size of about 3.0 angstroms to about 10 angstroms, or peak of the least size of pores, including at least 5 vol % of pore volume, having peak width at half peak height of about 1.0 angstroms or less, or a combination thereof.

EFFECT: technical result is higher efficiency of separation.
