SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an absorbent article which includes upper sheet (12) formed from a composite sheet; back sheet (13) and absorbent member (14) disposed between the upper sheet and the back sheet, wherein composite sheet (10) has first direction (X), which extends in article longitudinal direction, and second direction (Y), which extends in article width direction, first sheet (1) and second sheet (2), which form multilayer material, are partially connected to each other and form multiple connected zones; first sheet (1) in its parts, other than connected zones (31, 32 and 33), protrudes so that it is distant from second sheet (2), and forms ledges projecting towards user's skin; composite sheet (10) has middle zone (M) and two side zones (S), in which ledges are formed with respectively different configurations; protrusions (41), which are highest in middle zone (M), have a height that is greater than height of projections (41'), which are highest in side zones (S), and middle zone (M) has a deformation value during compression, which exceeds value of deformation of side zones (S) at compression.
