FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to plasmatron for facing of metal powder. Plasmatron comprises protective electrically neutral nozzle with branch pipe for supply of filler powder, plasma nozzle with branch pipe for supplying gas, connected to positive pole of DC power supply, electrode installed inside plasma nozzle and connected to negative pole of DC power supply source. End of the electrode is located inside at the level of the plasma nozzle cut. Surface of facing part is connected to negative pole of DC power supply. At that, in plasmatron simultaneously arc of direct polarity and indirect heating between cathode – electrode and anode – copper plasma nozzle are lit, and arc of reverse polarity between plasma nozzle, which is in this case cathode, and surface of facing part. Electrode used is a lanthanated tungsten rod with a diameter of not less than 1.8 mm and not more than 4.0 mm with a sharpening angle of 45°. Electrode is installed inside plasma nozzle with possibility of displacement along vertical axis.

EFFECT: longer service life of the plasmatron, stable high quality of the formed coatings due to exclusion during welding surfacing and interruption of the arc, non-uniformity of heating of the filler powder or substrate.
