FIELD: plasma facing of articles made of high-manganese steels applicable in reconditioning of worn railroad frogs. SUBSTANCE: worn articles from high- manganese steels are faced with use of powder additive materials from high-manganese steel with high content of chromium. Formed in faced metal is austenite structure. Facing is carried out by vibrating plasma generator. Plasma-forming protective and transporting gas is argon. Faced metal directly after hardening at temperature of not less than 750 C is subjected to forging, 14-18 impacts per second, with force of 12-15 N/sq.m. Plasma generator is used with expanding nozzle. Additive material is supplied through minimal section of nozzle. Facing is carried out in a few layers: every next layer is faced after cooling of the previous one to ambient temperature. Method provides for reconditioning of worn railroad frogs without laborious dressing after facing. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 3 cl, 1 dwg
