FIELD: welding.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for welding and surfacing of metals, renovation, growing of parts. During welding and surfacing process filler wire is fed along normal to article surface. Note here that filler wire is heated by current flowing therein and plasma arc directed at acute angle to normal to article surface. Intersection of the axes of the wire and the plasma arc is placed on the surface of the article. Two separate power sources are used, one for maintaining the plasma arc between the plasmatron electrode and the article, and second for current passage in filler wire for its further heating without formation of plasma arc.
EFFECT: obtaining high-quality deposited layers of various thickness and metal workpieces of articles of various configuration with high operational characteristics from high-alloyed alloys and non-ferrous metals.
