SUBSTANCE: invention relates to information methods of controlled descent by parachute. Method of determining a zone of reach of a target landing point by a paratrooper consists in the fact that a satellite navigation module is installed on a paratrooper, a wind speed sensor, a display unit and a computation module with in-built program modules for displaying a target point on the electronic map of the target point with given coordinates and a position of the paratrooper, according to the satellite navigation module and the wind speed sensor, determining the current altitude, mean values of paratrooper speed, speed of its reduction and speed of wind, at specified average values of speeds, angle of solution of cone of capabilities of parachute canopy and angle of deviation of axis of cone of possibilities from vertical in target point is calculated. At that, in addition, a built-in to a computing module program module for generating and displaying an elliptical reach zone of a target point, using said program module based on current paratrooper flight altitude and elliptic zone eccentricity, determining coordinates of center, small and lying in wind direction greater half-axis of elliptic reach zone, eccentricity of the elliptical zone is calculated from the values of the angles of the solution of the cone of possibilities and deviation of its axis from the vertical in the target point, wherein the formed reach zone is displayed on the electronic map of the area.

EFFECT: high accuracy of landing and safety of flight of paratrooper.
