FIELD: training equipment.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a simulator and a method for training parachutists for airborne training. The simulator consists of a frame of the simulator with electric drives and a pedestal rigidly fixed on the ground, a device for fixing the back of the trainee with a rotation drive and sensors for fixing impacts, a backpack of a parachute suspension system, a control cabinet with a control computer, an instructor’s workplace, a control sling, a virtual reality helmet, a frame with counterweights, a frame of free ends and a control sling, a video camera, speakers. The pedestal contains a height-adjustable track with a moving canvas. The counterweights are made in the form of air flow generators.
EFFECT: improvement of the quality of training of parachutists is achieved.
