FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: method relates to airborne training of personnel and can be used in simulators for training paratroopers. Paratroopers preparation method consists in the fact that the paratrooper takes its place in the parachute suspension system fixed on the training simulator frame and clothes the virtual reality glasses, and the instructor creates virtual space through the control computer and issues commands. Software based on 3D simulation creates virtual space, taking into account physical parameters, dynamics of parachute lowering and various parameters of environment, using sensors, fixing effects performed by trained paratrooper on elements of suspended parachute system. After leaving the simulated aircraft, the paratrooper is blown by the airflow to simulate the effect of the air flow. Functional device provides change of movement of body of paratrooper in space at free fall and opening of parachute. Landing is simulated by running track coordinated with virtual reality glasses.

EFFECT: higher level of training of paratroopers.
