FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to surgery, and can be used for determining viability of small intestine. Abdominal ultrasonic examination is performed in the mode of duplex scanning of small intestine vessels by a convective sensor with frequency from 3.0 to 5.0 MHz with contrast amplification of the intestine. Contrast intensification of intestine occurs in the form of intestinal filling with semiliquid food. Duplex scanning of intramural vessels of the small intestine is carried out. Sensor is placed to the left of the umbilical area. Intestine is considered viable in the presence of contralateral intramural blood flow by mirror reflection thereof below the basal line with systolic peaks, constant multidirectional signals, with signs of arterial blood flow on spectral echograms with a diastolic component with height of not less than 1 mm and not more than 2/3 of the systolic component.
EFFECT: method enables determining the viability of the small intestine by examining the blood flow in the intramural vessels.
