FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy, namely to methods of producing magnetically soft amorphous alloys based on a Fe-Ni-Si-B system, and can be used in making cores for pulse and broadband transformers, transformers of secondary power sources, filter throttles and resonant circuits. Method of producing a strip from a magnetically soft amorphous alloy Fe-Ni-Si-B-Nb- involves preparation of a Fe-Ni-Si-B alloy melt, cooling on a rotating quenching metal disc and heat treatment. 15–30 % of charge is added to the melt in the form of an amorphous ribbon of Fe-Si-B-Nb-Cu alloy, and thermal treatment is carried out according to a mode including heating to 450–500 °C, holding for 15–60 minutes, cooling in air and then heating to 520–540 °C, holding for 5–15 minutes, cooling in air.
EFFECT: obtaining high values of magnetic induction and low level of coercitive force.
