CANNULATED SCREW FOR MINIMALLY INVASIVE OSTEOSYNTHESIS OF UNSTABLE PELVIC RING INJURIES Russian patent published in 2019 - IPC A61B17/58 A61B17/86

Abstract RU 2706140 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to traumatology and orthopedics, and can be used for fixation of unstable pelvic ring injuries in injured patients with severe combined injury by minimally invasive method in acute period of traumatic disease. Cannulated screw for minimally invasive osteosynthesis of unstable damages of the pelvic ring consists of a cylindrical rod with an internal channel and a thread and a round head with a hexagonal spline. Thread is made along the whole length of the rod. On the proximal part of the screw part from its opposite sides there are two tap grooves arranged at the same distance from each other. Distal portion has a corona milling cutter with three crowns. Inner channel has diameter of, at least, 3.2 mm. Round head is made with diameter of not less than 8.4 mm. Hexagonal spline is made with diameter of not less than 4.8 mm and depth of at least 3.2 mm.

EFFECT: invention provides enlarging indications for minimally invasive fixation of pelvic ring and improved stability of fixation, reduced time of surgical intervention, and in the long-term period enables to achieve good anatomical and functional therapeutic results in the patients.
