METHOD FOR DECODING BLOCK NOISE-IMMUNE CODES BASED ON THE CRITERION OF MINIMUM AVERAGE RISK Russian patent published in 2019 - IPC H03M13/00 H03M13/03

Abstract RU 2706171 C1

FIELD: radio engineering and communications.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to communication engineering and specifically to systems for transmitting information with noise-immune coding, and can be used in channel coding systems of information transmission, in which transmission of information messages is carried out via radio waves. Code combinations consisting of binary information symbols together with redundant code symbols are received from communication channel. Error vector is selected. Inverting elements in systematic part of code word, numbers of which correspond to positions of nonzero elements of error vector. Systematic part is extracted in corrected code word. Additionally, a test sequence is generated at the transmitting side and transmitted along a communication channel. Received test sequence modulo 2 with a reference one is folded on the receiving side. Based on the result of their addition, conditional probabilities of binary symbols of the discrete communication channel error source are calculated. Distribution of probabilities of binary error vectors and allowed code combinations is calculated.

EFFECT: high reliability of decoding owing to taking into account properties of a real communication channel, other than statistical properties of an ideal Gaussian property.
