FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to pyrometallurgical processing of materials containing noble metals and alloys, particularly gold-bearing metals. Method of processing gold-containing inorganic materials involves their melting with flux containing a mixture of dehydrated borax, calcined soda and glass or quartz sand, which provides binding impurities in molten gold-containing inorganic material, oxidation of obtained melt, heated to 1,100–1,200 °C, adding to the melt a sufficient amount of a mixture of ammonium nitrate and iron sulphate until completion of complete oxidation of impurities. After that, oxidised melt is poured into heated lined mold installed in centrifuge rotor, melt temperature is maintained within 1,200–1,250 °C, and then rotation the mold with molten metal at a rate which creates a gravitational coefficient Kg=200–210, with a cooling rate of the poured melt of not more than 10 °C/min. Mold rotation is terminated at completion of melt crystallization with temperature below solidus temperature.

EFFECT: method simplifies the process with regard to uniform oxidation of the melt.
