FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to foundry. Elements to bind admixtures into intermetallic compounds are added to melt prepared in furnace from aluminium scrap. Said melt with said admixtures is overheated to complete crystallisation in flat solidified front from periphery to center to reach melt temperature not lower than liquidus temperature. Overheated melt is cast into centrifuge rotor steel mould revolving with gravity factor varying from 20 to 500. Steel mould lining thermodynamic characteristics are anisotropic in radial direction to allow for heat sink primarily in casting peripheral section. Melt in steel mould, rotor rpm are kept constant or increasing in synchronism with crystallisation front motion from periphery to center. After cooling down, billet is subjected to machining for removal of central part saturated with inclusions and intermetallic compounds forced therein by crystallisation flat front.
EFFECT: higher efficiency.
