OPTICAL SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR GUIDING LASER BEAM THROUGH ATMOSPHERE Russian patent published in 2019 - IPC G01S17/66

Abstract RU 2706292 C2

FIELD: optics.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to systems for aiming a laser beam on a target. Disclosed optical system for guiding a laser beam on a target through the atmosphere includes four optical channels: passive visualization channel with auxiliary camera (1) associated with coarse guidance control device (2); illumination channel with pulse backlight source (5) and time synchronization means (11), these channels include first common optical device (4) of coarse homing; actuating element channel with high-power laser source (171); active imaging channel with high-speed camera (101) synchronized with illumination source (5) by synchronization means (11) and connected to device (121) of accurate guidance control; high-speed camera (101) matching device with high-power laser source (171). Active imaging channel and the actuating element channel form a pair and include: a second common optical device (141) of coarse guidance, coarse guidance device, controlled by coarse guidance control device (2); common optical device (161) of accurate guidance, controlled by device (121) of accurate guidance control; and coarse guidance control device (2) is connected to control device (121) of accurate guidance.

EFFECT: technical result is higher accuracy of range, stability of guidance and accessible field of view.
