FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a sealing composition and can be used in optical instrument-making for sealing devices operated in a wide temperature range. Sealing composition contains, wt%: ceresin (grade 75) 47.5–48.5; pine rosin 18; bee wax 11; dioxyl sebacate 7.0; chalk 9.0–7.0; melamine-alkyd enamel 4.5–5.5; polyisobutylene 2.0; technical carbon 1.0.
EFFECT: invention increases storage life of stable properties of the sealing composition (without cracking) at low temperatures of up to 4 hours, as well as increases elasticity of the sealing composition.
