FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to power and transport machine building and can be used on vehicles and in their power plants for recuperation and regeneration of heat and mechanical energy. Thermal accumulator consists of inlet and outlet branch pipe, heat exchanger, cavity with salt, cylinder, heat-insulating layer, body, lower and upper covers, fastening screws, a power generation cavity, a detachable heat insulator, a heating plate, metal rods, an inlet and an outlet nozzle, a bypass valve. At that, thermal accumulator also contains coil heat exchange device through which waste gases of transport power plant pass and heated cavity containing calcium chloride, as a result of melting calcium chloride accumulates thermal energy, which if necessary can be transmitted through metal rods, filled with calcium chloride and located in the center coils of the coil heat exchanger, a heating plate which heats the surface of the Peltier module or thermogenerator, or gas or liquid in the energy generation cavity and recovers or regenerates heat energy accumulated in the thermal accumulator.
EFFECT: invention allows to accumulate thermal energy of power plants, as well as to convert accumulated thermal energy into electric or thermal energy, with its subsequent reuse in vehicles.
