FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to propulsion engineering, particularly, to ICE pre-heaters to be used at negative ambient temperatures. Phase transfer heat accumulator comprises heat-insulated evacuated cylindrical case with detachable cover having inlet and outlet with intake and discharge pipes fitted therein, capsules filled with heat accumulating material with variable aggregative state and composed by coaxial cylinders making circular clearances for passage of liquid heat carrier. Besides, heat accumulator is equipped with electric heater equipped with self-controlled heating elements built around posistor ceramics operated by external power supply or machine electric circuit at shutdown engine.
EFFECT: sufficient heat transfer at starting the engine.
