FIELD: devices consuming thermal energy at irregular generation and consumption of such energy. SUBSTANCE: heat accumulator includes cylindrical housing which is heat-insulated by evacuation and is provided with detachable cover having inlet and outlet holes to which inlet and outlet pipes are connected; arranged in the housing is also unit of parallel tubular capsules filled with heat- accumulating composition which changes state of aggregation in working temperature range and separating plates mounted perpendicularly relative to longitudinal axis. To increase specific mass of heat-accumulating composition and simplifying the construction without impairing thermal- and-physical and other characteristics of heat accumulator, capsules are located in staggered order forming set of closed curvilinear triangles in cross; section of inter-tube space; capsule unit is mounted in holder; separating plates are secured to base of holder and are hydraulically transparent; outlet hole is shifted relative to longitudinal axis by maximum possible distance. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency. 2 dwg
