FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in supercharged internal combustion engines. Method for engine (10) consists in feeding coolant mixture containing first refrigerant with first temperature and second coolant with second temperature lower than first temperature to cooler (18) of supercharging air. Mixture temperature is controlled by adjusting ratio of first coolant to second coolant in response to engine operating condition (10) and temperature at coolant outlet (18) of supercharging air. In response to adjustment of temperature of mixture by adjusting ratio of first coolant to second coolant one or more of operating parameters of engine (10) are adjusted based on adjusted ratio of first coolant to second coolant. Adjustment of one or more operating parameters of the engine includes increasing the ratio of the first refrigerant to the second refrigerant, while at least a portion of both the first coolant and the second coolant is fed to charge air cooler (18). In response to increasing the ratio of the first refrigerant to the second refrigerant, while at least a portion of both the first refrigerant and the second refrigerant enters the charge air cooler (18), increases the injection pressure of fuel injected into the engine, increasing boost, increasing amount of fuel injected into engine and shifting injection moment towards delay. Versions of the method for the engine and system for the engine are disclosed.

EFFECT: shorter period of time required for heating or cooling the coolant to the required temperature.
