FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in electric engineering for protection of consumers against short circuits and overload in electric networks. Current protection device comprises phase conductor, zero conductor, power contacts with independent splitter coil, current sensor connected to microcontroller third input, load, power supply unit, a gain element connected to the first output of the microcontroller, a voltage sensor connected to the first input of the microcontroller, a sensor of voltage sine voltage transition through zero, connected to the second input of the microcontroller, transducer of current sinusoid passing through zero, connected to fourth input of microcontroller, element of indication of electric network condition connected to second output of microcontroller. As a result, the microcontroller performs continuous algorithmic processing of the incoming values and extraction of current increments in the electric network. According to calculated values of current increment and power factor of electric network microcontroller sends a signal to load disconnection through time delay or instantly.
EFFECT: providing device response to current increments in electric network.
