FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention is used in the field of electrical engineering as a device for protecting electrical plants from overcurrent. The device contains current transformer (1), inputs of the primary winding of which are inputs of the device, differential current-to-voltage converter (2), microcontroller (3) including analog-to-digital converter (4), unit (5) for calculating the current root mean square value (RMS), unit (6) for storing the time-current characteristic, timer (7), digital interface unit (8) and unit (9) for coupling with actuator (10), unit (11) for coupling with a central device. The analog-to-digital converter, the unit for calculating the root mean square value, the unit for storing time-current characteristic, the timer, the digital interface unit and the unit for coupling with the actuator are units of a microcontroller. The technical result is achieved due to the fully automated and free from subjective operator errors implementation of the time-current characteristic in accordance with the current regulatory and technical documentation, as well as due to the independence of the time-current characteristic from the current form.
EFFECT: technical result is an increase in the accuracy of the implementation of the time-current characteristic of the electronic fuse.
