SUBSTANCE: invention relates to processing video images, aimed at combining several video images into one panoramic video. System for combining several video images comprises video cameras, memory, graphic user interface, input and output devices, as well as data processing device. Data input and output facilities comprise a selection unit, an area selection unit and a display unit. Data processing device is configured to: obtain multiple video images from adjacent video cameras defined in the selection unit; setting, at which transformations necessary to combine the obtained video images into one panoramic video image are calculated, the transformations are calculated once for the frames corresponding to each other in time of the said adjacent cameras; combining several video images into one panoramic video image by applying the calculated transformations for all other frames obtained from said adjacent video cameras; displaying the obtained panoramic video image.

EFFECT: high efficiency of merging multiple video images.
